PV Magazine: Solar tops EU power mix in June with record 22% share

Solar Led the EU in Electricity Generation in June: Solar was the leading source of power in the European Union in June, generating 22 percent of the bloc’s electricity, which was slightly ahead of nuclear, as Pilar Sánchez Molina reports for PV Magazine. For the second quarter, renewable sources accounted for 54 percent of total electricity, up from 52.7 percent in the same period in the prior year.
