Earthjustice: Lawsuit Forces USDA To Reinstate Sustainable Agriculture Grants
Aug 14 – A federal court ruled in our favor and ordered the Trump administration to restore six USDA grants to sustainable agriculture organizations. In June, Earthjustice filed a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s unlawful termination of grants to farmers and sustainable agriculture organizations across the country.
The court’s decision today affirms that this action by the Trump administration is likely unlawful and caused significant irreparable harm to the organizations and the communities they serve.
Not only will the grant recipients we represented get their money, but this ruling sets a strong precedent that could allow hundreds of other grant cancellations to be challenged and reinstated.
